Last changed: Jan 19, 2009 12:37 by polperezpymma

[*Pymma consulting*] proposes 2 papers on the BPEL Correlation with Open-ESB/JavaCAPS. The first paper is a technical paper that describes the key concepts to understand the BPEL. The second is a long tutorial that used the same example than the technical paper. It takes around 60-90 minutes to finish this tutorial.

The technical paper can be found at: BPEL Correlation concept and Introduction

The tutorial can be found at : BPEL Correlation concept and Introduction

We hope you will enjoy them. Thank for your feedback contact@pymma.com

In my last news http://wikis.sun.com/display/JavaCAPS/Using+JBOSS+messaging+through+JavaCAPS6-JBI, I described how to send JMS messages with JBOSS Messaging from a JavaCAPS-GA BPEL module.

In this one, we will switch to

For more information, have a look to : http://blogs.sun.com/patriceg/entry/using_jboss_messaging_from_glassfishesb

A big thanks to Louis Polycarpou for his help to troubleshot the JBOSS WSDL setup. Feel free to visit his blog : http://blogs.sun.com/polyblog

Part 1 : How to create an IEP style application

Part 2 : How to add JasperReport to an IEP style application

Introduction to Intelligent Event Processing in OpenESB/JavaCaps6 (Part1)

Note

In order to ovoid the "not-invented-here" syndrome, the valuable IEP tutorial developed by Tom Barret has been reused to record this screencast.

This screencast will be used to teach the Horizons-Summit 2008 hands-on (Munich 13-15 November 2008).

This is a set of screencasts showing how to build a simple composite application using a couple of IEP features. The goal is to build something simple which shows how to deal with events processing.

This "IEP"screencast has been recorded with OpenESB (September 2008 nightly builds) installed in a VirtualBox OpenSolaris image.

Part 1 : IEP Overview

This is a short presention to

  • introduce the main features of IEP
  • discuss the Lotto Usecase
  • describe the lab exercises
    Flash screencast available here (1mn)

Part 2 : Aknowledgement

The material used by these screencasts have been developed initially by Thomas Barret.

Part 3 : Create the IEP module

  • how to create the IEP module

Part 4 : Create the CASA application

  • review the IEP WSDL generated to set some runtime parameters such as file address value
  • how to create the CASA application based on the IEP module
  • double-check the iepseDB DataBase tables created for the RunTime

Part 5: Create the TestCase

  • create the TestCases to be used

Part 6 : Run the TestCase

  • run the TestCases
  • open the NetBeans Favorites window to double-chech the result

Part 6 : Fix the duplicated messages

  • The output messages are duplicated. We fix it.

Java CAPS 6 SWIFT Demonstrator is available ...
Last changed: Sep 08, 2008 23:47 by patriceG

In collaboration with Rik De Deyn (Payments Solution Manager / Global Financial services Industry) and GTE

a SWIFT Demonstrator has been developed for Java CAPS 6

This SWIFT Demonstrator has been created following an initial developement from a successful POC driven by FAST, GTE, OEM, Sun Belgium, Sun Luxembourg technical & sales resources.

The SWIFT Demonstrator can be easily used in a couple of SALES situations :

  • Demonstration of Sun know-how regarding SWIFT technology (SAA, SAG ...)
  • Demonstration of Java CAPS & SWIFTNet integration
  • The current implementation of the is also considered as a Reference Implementation,
  • The implementation code also available can be reused for POC opportunities.

The main "Value Propositions" of the SWIFT Demonstrator are :

  • The scenario's implement real use cases. These use cases are commonly requested by SWIFT customers.
  • Concrete proof-points, both functional and technical
  • Originates from a winning POC scenario, has been used to run over SWIFTNet : this implementation is able to send and receive SWIFT messages to/from the SWIFTNet (of course, the current implementation of the SWIFT Demonstrator simulate the SWIFTNet activities)
  • Demostrated openness, dealing with a couple of external systems such as MSMQ, MQSeries, MailServer, DirectoryServer, HumanWorflow activities and others

All the deliverables and the VirtualBox image are available for download from

https://cetwo.sfbay.sun.com/display/~patrice.goutin/SWIFT Demonstrator

such as

  • Documentation
    o SWIFT Ref Impl Spec
o SWIFT Demonstrator - Support slides
o SWIFT Demonstrator in a nushell
o SWIFT Demonstrator - Configuration Guide
o SWIFT Demonstrator - Deliverables Reference Guide
  • Video
o SWIFT Demonstrator - Demonstration video
  • VirtualBox Image

Questions???
The GTE architect that is responsible for the SWIFT Demonstrator is Patrice Goutin.
The GFSI sales architect that is responsable for the SWIFT programme is Rik De Deyn

Feedbacks and any suggestions to improve the SWIFT Demonstrator are always welcome.

Patrice & Rik

Java CAPS 6 - using a WLM portlet to manage Human Workflow activities through the Simple Api for Workflow (SAW)
Last changed: Aug 27, 2008 06:39 by patriceG

There are some samples available in the Java CAPS world to manage Human Workflow tasks from a Web application.
This note illustrates how to use a WLM portlet to manage Human Workflow activities in a Java CAPS 6 Repository Based Application. The WLM portlet has been developed with the Simple API for Workflow. Using this WLM portlet, you are able to deal with Human Workflow tasks after a very easy configuration step.

The complete note is available at http://blogs.sun.com/patriceg/entry/java_caps_6_using_a
