SunWikis v1.4.2 was deployed on Thursday, December 11.

Release Contents Summary:

• New feature: "Space Admin Contact Form" - allows users to send messages to space admins directly
• New feature: "Wiki Invitations" - allows space admins to create invitations to (restricted) wiki spaces.
• Enhancement: The main application menu now contains Help and Report an Issue drop down menus
• Minor theme adjustments to better support Safari and IE browsers.
• Enhancements for the Expand macro:
  • the cursor icon changes when user points to the macro header to indicate that the element is clickable.
  • help for the macro is now part of the notation guide.

A minor release, SunWikis v1.3.5, will be deployed today, August 25th, at 9AM PT. During the deployment, the site will be fully functional, but some users may lose their sessions and be prompted to login again.

• RFE: Support auto discovery tags for spaces
• RFE: Page titles should be vertically centered if space logo is set up
• Bug fix: // breaks page sections
• Bug fix: Indentation of list items
• Bug fix: Code macro should preserve leading and trailing spaces more info. Some pages that contain the code macro with leading/trailing spaces or empty lines, which were not previously visible, will need minor editing so the extra spaces/line breaks don't render.

Release notes posted as follows: SunWikis 1.3 Release Notes

Today we enabled HTTP<->HTTPS redirection on all wiki pages at wikis.sun.com.

This feature will increase security of the content transmitted over the network. The redirection happens automatically from HTTP to HTTPS or from HTTPS to HTTP based on the permission of the page about to be viewed. If a page is public, HTTP is used to access it. If a page is restricted HTTPS will be enforced.

If you see any issues related to this redirection, please report it on our mailing list or via the Report Issue link above.

There will be a login and registration outage on Saturday, April 19, 2008 between midnight (12:00 AM) and 7:00 AM (PT). During this time, Sun Online Account login and registration will be unavailable, but unrestricted content on this site will remain viewable. If you have logged in this week, there is a reasonable chance you will not be affected by the outage. Affected wikis.sun.com users will still be able to view content, but not use any of the features that require authentication. We apologize for the inconvenience.
