Use the following steps to configure Thunderbird mail account settings.
# *Start the Thunderbird mail client.*
# *Go to Edit → Account Settings.*
# *Type the following information in the Account Settings window:*
#* Account Name - Provide your user name and the mail server.
#* Your Name - Provide your full name.
#* Email Address - Identify your email address.
# *Click Server Settings.*
Note that the Server type should be IMAP Mail Server.
#* Type the server name.
#* Type the user name.
#* For Security Settings, select TLS, if it is not selected.
# *Click Outgoing Server (SMTP).*
Note that the Server type should be SMTP.
#* Verify that your user name and account appear correctly in the window.
#* Verify the following settings:
#** Description <*not specified*>
#** Server Name: <*your server name*>
#** Port: 587 (*port might vary*)
#** User Name: <*your user name*>
#** Secure Connection: TLS
# *Click OK to save the information and close the window.*
*Note* \- It might be necessary to quit and restart the mail server after configuring your mail settings.
