The Sun™ xVM Server is designed to be a cross-platform open source hypervisor that can host multiple operating systems, including Solaris, Windows, and Linux guest operating systems. The server is being built using technology from the Xen open source project as well as Sun Logical Domains (LDOMS).

When you use the Sun xVM Server, you can access features previously only available on the Solaris™ 10 Operating System (Solaris OS), such as Predictive Self-healing (FMA) and Solaris ZFS.

The server is in development now. We will add more information to this section when it becomes available.
