h2. Share Your Expertise!
This page attempts to let everyone share their expertise on doing "something" with OpenSolaris. Share your expertise for the benefit of the rest of the OpenSolaris community.

h2. Before You Begin

The OpenSolaris Information Resources wiki already contains a lot of information. Make sure the topic you want to write about isn't already available. Just use the Search box in the nav bar.

Before adding your own "how to" information, you need to be logged in to the wiki and you need to have editing permissions on the site. For details, see [How to Contribute].

h2. Write a "How To" Procedure
# Log in to wikis.sun.com
# Click the following link to add a new procedure:
{create-page:template=How To Template}How to procedure{create-page}
You will see a dialog box asking you to "Please enter the new page title."
\\
# Enter a page title and press OK.
# Write your procedure. While writing your draft, you can reference this [sample how to template | http://wikis.sun.com/display/OpenSolarisInfo/Sample+How+To+Template].
# Ask for review inputs on the [docs-discuss|mailto:docs-discuss@opensolaris.org] alias.
# Add labels to your procedure so that it can be automatically listed on the new user, application developer, or administrator pages. Simply click Edit Labels at the bottom of your procedure.
## Add the "task" label to it.
## Add one or more of the following role labels, as appropriate:
** newuser
** appdeveloper
** singleadmin
** smallsiteadmin
** largesiteadmin

That's all there is to it. The OpenSolaris community thanks you!
