h2. How to Add a Print Client on a Print Server With Solaris LP Print Manager

*A _print client_ is a system that is not the server for the printer, yet it utilizes configured print queues on the server. Adding a print client means you are adding access to a printer on a system other than the print server.*

# *On the system that you want to add access to a printer, log in and assume the root role.*
# *Start Solaris Print Manager. Choose System > Administration > Solaris LP Print Manager.*
# *Choose Add Access to Printer from the Printer Menu.*
# *Type the printer name, print server name, and description in the appropriate fields.*
# *(Optional) To set the printer as the default printer, check the Set as Default check box.*
# *Apply the changes and check Solaris Print Manager to make sure the printer is displayed.*
# *(Optional) Print a test page.*
