Sun is adding service tags to many of its hardware, storage, and software products, including Solaris 10 10/09.
You can automatically register products that have service tags.
To discover and register earlier versions of Solaris OS, or other operating systems and service processors, download the Sun Service Tag package
and install it on your systems. The Sun Service Tag package is available for the following operating systems and service processors:
- Solaris 10 OS
- Solaris 9 OS
- Solaris 8 OS
- Red Had Enterprise Linux 3, 4, 5
- SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9, 10
- Windows 2000
- Windows Server 2003
- Windows XP
- Windows Vista

I go to Download Center then, search for ServiceTags (on the Downloads A-Z tab), click on "Sun Service Tag 1.1.2" (https://sunconnection.sun.com/inventory/) which directs me to the same place as hotlink does
and the loop is closed.
So is there any other way to download it?

While I registered OpenSolaris 2008.05 with the most recent updates (Aug 25th 2008) installed on my Ultra 20 M2, the hardware details and operating system details were recorded and shown upon completion the registration.
