Purpose

This program is to provide the maximum possible compatibility with competing platforms in terms of G11N features and also to provide the enabling technologies and building blocks for better G11N of OpenSolaris.

Goals

Take the best breed of community technology and Sun's technology, and make sure that OpenSolaris is at least as good as Linux for user experiences in language/locale sensitive areas.

Evaluate heterogeneous network configuration with Windows, Linux, MacOS, IBM AIX, HP-UX and mobile devices and ensure seamless user experiences.

Deliver best platform technologies as enablers of language technologies.
