This is a collaboration space to review job task analysis (JTA) for the Java EE 6 roles.
The JTA content will be used as an input for the certification objectives of Java EE 6 certification. The JTA content will also be used to design and develop courses that directly map to the Java EE 6 certifications.
h2. Objectives
Job Task Analyses (JTAs) for the upcoming Java EE 6 Platform have been completed for five technology areas: # JavaServer Faces # Servlet and Java ServerPages # Java Web Services # Java Persistence API # Enterprise JavaBeans.
The JTAs define the developer tasks associated with these technologies, and the JTAs will be used to help develop certification examinations for the Java EE 6 platform. The two purposes of the present survey are to:
# Allow public review and comment on the JTAs. # Conduct an online survey of the JTAs so that the Java EE community has the opportunity to indicate the relative importance of the tasks on the JTAs.
h2. Guidelines
h3. Reviewing the JTAs
Each link in the section below connects to a Job Task Analysis (JTA) for a JavaEE 6 technology. We have listed the tasks one would perform when using this technology. Do you agree with thos taks? Disagre? Have comments?
* Provide your comment by clicking the Add Comment link. You can edit your comment as often and when you want. * While providing your comment, be specific about the technology area, task/duty name/number and activity or subtask that you are referring about. * You can provide generic comments as well.
h3. Filling out survey(s)
Each technolgy area includes a short survey. By filling out these surveys you will help us weight the tasks in the certification and course material. For example, if there is a task that one would perform on a regular basis and is hard to do, then our course would cover that task in more depth. And on the certification, if a task is weighted more heavily, then more questions about that task might appear on the exam.
