Sun Secure Global Desktop (SGD) Software delivers browser-based access to server- based graphical applications and desktop environments from almost any client. SGD "web-enables" legacy applications, including X11, Windows (via RDP), character-based (e.g. VT420), Mainframe (tn3270), and AS/400 (tn5250). SGD's Adaptive Internet Protocol (AIP) is a highly efficient protocol, designed to deliver graphical applications over a variety of network conditions, including low-bandwidth (dial-up speeds) and high-latency, and is particularly efficient at delivering X11 applications in such environments.
