h2. To Discover a System Using Custom Discovery

Custom Discovery enables you to discover gear according to specific criteria, including searches for specific IP addresses, IP ranges, or gear connected to particular subnets. In this example, you discover a single system by specifying its IP address as the discovery criteria.

h2. To Install a Sun xVM Ops Center Agent on a Discovered System

Sun xVM Ops Center can manage gear that it discovers. Installing a Sun xVM Ops Center agent on systems that can run the agent software enables management functions that are available in Sun xVM Ops Center. This example procedure installs a Sun xVM Ops Center agent on a single system.
