The {{commadmin debug log}} command creates a Delegated Administrator server log that contains debug statements generated by the Delegated Administrator servlets installed on the Web container.

If the log file already exists, the new debug statements are appended to the end of the existing file. If the log file does not exist, a new file is created.

NOTE: This sets the debug mode on Delegated Administrator Server. This is useful for analyzing problems that affect the Delegated Adminstrator Console and the Delegate Administrator Utility. For analyzing problems with the Delegate Administrator Utility (commadmin) client itself, use the "-v" flag, and capture the command output.

The following options are mandatory:

|{{-n}} _domain_|The domain of the Top-Level Administrator.|
|{{-t [ on\|off ]}}|Toggles between turning on the debug log and turning it off. \\
\\The value {{on}} causes the server to start writing debug statements to the log.
\\The value {{off}} causes the server to stop writing debug statements to the log.\\
|
|{{-w}} _password_|The password of the Top-Level Administrator.|
The following option is non-mandatory:

|-f _path and file name_|The full path where the log will be created, including the file name of the log.\\
\\The _path_ must be one of the following two directories:\\
\\ {{/tmp/}}\\
\\ {{/var/tmp/}}\\
\\The _file name_ can be any file name.\\
\\If the {{-f}} option is not specified, the default value is {{/tmp/commcli.log}}.|
