When you register, you'll be asked to provide a Sun Online Account and a Sun Service Contract Number.
h4. To Register a System With Update Manager
Register your system with Sun Connection Update Manager by using one of the following methods:

\* Sun Update Manager application, as described here.

\* CLI (sconadm), as described here.

h4. To Register a System With Sun Connection

When you register, you'll be asked to provide a Sun Online Account and a Sun Service Contract Number.

If you don't have a Sun Online Account, you can sign up for an account during registration.

The Sun Service Contract Number (also known as a Subscription Key or Contract ID), is optional. You can update your subscription information at a later date. Without a contract number, Sun Connection operates at a lower level of service.

Register your system with Sun Connection by using one of the following methods:
* Sun Update Manager application, as described at [http://sunsolve.sun.com/search/document.do?assetkey=1-9-82655-1].
* CLI (sconadm), as described at [http://sunsolve.sun.com/search/document.do?assetkey=1-9-82688-1].
