Configuring Vacation Messages and Mail Filters Sun Java System Connector for Microsoft Outlook 7.3 enables you to use the Communications Express address book service or Convergence address book service to configure vacation messages and mail filters. If your profile is configured to use Convergence, then you cannot invoke vacation messages and mail filters. To invoke vacation messages and mail filters by using Communications Express in your profile that is configured with the Convergence address book service, you must add a value to the {{UWC_Url}} key in the configuration file. h5. Prerequisites to Configure The Profile * Users should have both Communications Express and Convergence deployed on their machine. * Both Communications Express and Convergence should use the same Directory Server. If this feature works from your profile configured with Convergence in SSL mode, then the same user can login to Communications Express in SSL mode. {info:title=Note} This configuration is required only if you have created a profile with Convergence address book service. {info} To configure your profile, perform the following steps: # Click the Address book tab in the Outlook Connector Deployment Configuration Program. # Enter the URL as: {code} /iwc/svc/ {code} # Click File -> Save to create a package. # Open the configuration ({{.ini}}) file that you created and enter the value for {{UWC_Url}} key in the following format: {code} servername:portnumber/relativepath {code} For example, the value of the key may be: {code} UWC_Url=florizel.com:80/uwc {code} # Invoke Outlook Connector Deployment Configuration Program. # Open the configuration ({{.ini}}) file and click File -> Save to create a new package. # Click Yes when prompted to overwrite the existing package. # Run the newly created package to create the profile. This profile has the vacation message and mail filter features. |
