Switching the Enterprise Controller Mode
Since the Sun xVM Ops Center is configured in connected mode by default, you must specifically switch to disconnected mode. Once the Enterprise Controller is operational in disconnected mode (the gear is discovered, agents are provisioned, systems are updated, and so forth you can optionally switch the Enterprise Controller back to connected mode.
To Switch to Disconnected Mode
- Select Administration from the Navigation panel.
- Select Setup Disconnected Mode from the Actions panel.
- Specify a KB bundle and click Load KB Bundle.
- Select Switch to Disconnected Mode. You must first load a bundle or you will be unable to switch.
To Switch to Connected Mode
- Select Administration from the Navigation panel.
- Select Setup Disconnected Mode from the Actions panel.
- Select Switch to Connected Mode.
Note – If you are switching the Enterprise Controller to the connected mode for the first time after being in the disconnected mode, then you need to setup the Sun Online Account (SOA) in the Authentications section to access the GUUS and any http proxy to access the Internet.
