Associating or Disassociating Libraries

You can associate or disassociate a virtual image library from a virtual pool.

To Associate a Library to a Virtual Pool

While creating a new library in Sun xVM Ops Center, you can associate it to virtual pools as required. You can also use the following procedure to associate an existing library to a virtual pool.

  1. Select Resource Management section in the Navigation panel.
  2. Select the virtual pool to which you want to associate libraries.
  3. Click Associate Libraries from the Actions panel.
    The Associate Library window is displayed.
  4. Select the libraries from the list that you want to be associated with the virtual pool.
  5. Click Associate Library.
    The selected libraries will be associated to the virtual pool.

To Disassociate a Library From a Virtual Pool

You can dissociate a library from a virtual pool using the following procedure.

  1. Select Resource Management section in the Navigation panel.
  2. Select the virtual pool from the section.
  3. Click the Libraries tab in the center panel.
    The Associate Libraries and the corresponding guests that are stored in the libraries are also listed.
  4. Select the library from the list and click the Disassociate Library icon.
    The selected library will be detached from the virtual pool.
