Discovering Gear is the first step in using Sun xVM Ops Center. Discovering Gear lets you see what gear exists. Managing that gear gives Sun xVM Ops Center full access to the Gear and lets you monitor, update, and provision it. Registering gear gives you a hosted inventory of your gear.
Gear Management is a simple process:
- Discover Gear using Automatic, Custom, or Manual Discovery.
- Install Agentry to begin managing the gear.
- Register the gear.
- Organize the gear to simplify other management tasks.
