White list is the list of patches that needs to be installed, uninstalled or upgraded as required. You have to create a profile with the setting as Required.

For example, a list of Solaris OS patch IDs that you always required to be applied to a host. Create a profile with the patches that need to be installed and create a job with the selected profile.

White list can be selected while creating the Baseline Analysis Report. You can import from the list of profiles or enter the patches in a text file. In the text file, enter only the patch IDs seperated by new lines.

For example, the baseline B includes patches X, Y, Z and the white list has patches U, V and W. When you create the Baseline Analysis Report, the host will be marked compliant only when all the six patches X, Y, Z, U, V and W are present.
