The Update Module helps you to determine the systems that are up to date, and choose the right patches to be applied to the gear.
Update Module provides package and RPM installation services for the following:
- Recommended patch clusters
- Solaris TM baselines
- Linux Red Hat Package Manager (RPM)
- Custom packages
You can define policies and profiles and use them to standardize your patch management.
The update module enables you to run a patch simulation before you apply the patches. You can simulate the job for the result before running it live on the host. The simulation is designed to help identify dependencies. You can also schedule your jobs. For example, you can apply patches during off hours for better patch management.
Use the update module to manage local files, check compliance for the latest updates, and generate varied reports for effective management of systems.
