Enabling and Disabling Notifications
Sun xVM Ops Center generates notifications for all event operations and when the set thresholds are exceeded.
You can enable or disable the notifications for a server or blade, chassis, or OS. The status of the notification for the gear is displayed in the corresponding monitoring window of the gear.
To Enable Notifications
- Choose Server or Chassis from the Management menu.
Appropriate management information appears. - Select the specific object that you want to monitor.
- Choose Enable Notifications from the Actions drop-down menu.
A job is submitted for enabling notifications of the gear. - To view the job details, click the Jobs Running section of the xVM Ops Center masthead.
The Enable Notification job appears in the Jobs table.
To Disable Notifications
- Choose Server, Operating System, or Chassis from the Management menu.
Appropriate management information appears. - Select the specific object for which you want to stop monitoring.
- Choose Disable Notification from the Actions drop-down menu.
A job is submitted to disable the notification of the gear. - To view the status of your job, click the Jobs Running section of the xVM Ops Center masthead.
The Disable Notification job appears in the Jobs table.
