 Sun xVM Ops Center 1.1 Home Discovering and Registering Your Gear |
This discovery method lets you discover gear by IP address, or by local configuration of the Sun Service Tag discovery protocol.
To Discover Gear Using Custom Discovery
1. From the Gear menu, select New Custom Discovery.
2. Enter your discovery criteria. You can enter IP addresses and protocols, such as SSH, IPMI, Telnet, and SNMP.
3. (Optional) Save your discovery criteria for future use.
4. Click Save to see a summary.
5. Click Finish to complete the discovery process.

Once you have discovered gear, the next step is to register it with the modules of Sun xVM Ops Center.
