Each category can hold package groups and packages which may be either software or files, depending on the top-level default category under which you create your own categories. The default categories are:
- Local RPMs or Local PKGs
- Configuration files
- Macros
- Pre-Actions
- Post-Actions
- Probes
You can create sub categories under these default categories. You cannot edit or delete the default categories.
To Add Categories
- Choose Manage Local Content from the Actions menu in the Update Channel window.
The Manage Local Content window appears. - Choose Categories.
- Enter a name for the new category.
- Enter a brief description for the new category.
- Select the Distribution to assign the category.
- Select the default top-level category and click Apply.
A new sub category is created under the selected default category.
