 Sun xVM Ops Center 1.1 Home Discovering and Registering Your Gear |
Basic Discovery is the default discovery method. To discover gear using this method, the gear must have an embedded Sun Service Tag.
Most new Sun products contain Sun Service Tags. If your products do not, you can download a Sun Service Tag for your OS and create Service Tags for other products.
To Discover Gear
1. From the Gear menu, select Discover Gear.
2. Start the service tag discovery process.
3. Click OK.
There are two other discovery methods - Custom Discovery and Manual Discovery.
Once you have discovered gear, the next step is to register it with the modules of Sun xVM Ops Center.
