White list is the list of patches that needs to be installed. It is the patches that needs to to be installed, uninstalled or upgraded as required. You have to create a profile with the setting as Required. For example, a list of Solaris OS patch IDs that you always required to be applied to a host. Create a profile with the patches that need to be installed and create a job with the selected profile. White list can be selected while creating the Baseline Analysis Report. You can import from the list of profiles or enter the patches in a text file. For example, the baseline B includes patches X, Y, Z and the white list has patches U, V and W. When you create the Baseline Analysis Report, the host will be marked compliant only when all he six patches X, Y, Z, U, V and W are present. |
