Server Installation Overview

Creating a functional Sun xVM Ops Center server requires two main tasks:

  • Installing Sun xVM Ops Center Server Software
  • Configuring Sun xVM Ops Center Server Software

Perform the tasks listed in the contents list of this page to install and configure an Sun xVM Ops Center server.

Note - Do not register your Sun xVM Ops Center server or proxy with the Update Module.
If you attempt to use the Update Module to update the operating system that is hosting the Sun xVM Ops Center server or the Sun xVM Ops Center proxy, the update job might not run properly.
