Configuration files are text files, binaries or non-RPM application that are distributed to all managed hosts for consistent configuration. For example, configuration files of a Linux or Solaris machine determine everything about the environment: the kernel version, the bootloader, the file system, and the printers.

You can create sub categories under the parent Configuration Files and group these files for better understanding.
