FAQ

Sun Identity Manager Developer FAQ

  1. Why have a Wiki?
Forums are great for getting questions answered, but when you just need some sample code it can be hard to navigate. A wiki allows Sun employees and IDM Customers to provide real world use cases without having to go through a formal publication process. The key is everyone can contribute!
  2. How do I add examples?
First you will need to register. If you have a current Sun developer id, you are ready. Currently, every registered user can make any changes. If this right is abused, we may limit access.
  3. What Source code license or Governance is used?
Currently there is no governance model for this code. We are exploring what License would be most open for everyone involved. Our goal is to allow anyone to use any code that is contributed with few restrictions. The only restriction we are currently considering is Attribution. We are welcome to feedback on this topic.
