FOSDEM 2008


We hope to see you at FOSDEM Brussels, 22-24th February 2008.  There are a number of activities in which Sun is participating.

OpenJDK will be participating in the Free Java Dev Room.
All are welcome in room AW1.121, starting at 2pm on Saturday.  The schedule is jam-packed all the way through until dinner!

The OpenSolarisproject will have an exhibition stand where you can meet engineers in the OpenSolaris community, including demos of a KDE port and the second preview of Project Indiana, an OpenSolaris binary distribution.  There will be media kits available, free of charge.

OpenOffice.org*will be especially well-represented at FOSDEM.  There is an OpenOffice.org Dev Roomand an OpenOffice.org exhibition stand.    Jurgen Schmidt will give a session, OpenOffice.org extensions development in Java with NetBeans in practiseon Sunday morning at 9.15am (!) .  All are welcome in room AW1.117.

Charles Nutter will give a session on  JRuby on Saturday at 4pm in Janson room(the main auditorium).

Kohsuke Kawaguchi will be presenting Project Hudson, a web-based integration system.  The presentation is at 10am on Sunday, also in the Janson room .

And last, but not least, Sun's Chief Open Source Officer, Simon Phipps, will be at FOSDEM. Look out for him and say hello! Or book a meeting
