Web Stack Home

This space and its content is generally related to the OpenSolaris Web Stack project. Please look to that site for official announcements and details.

This is, in fact, related to the Sun Web Stack. Sun Web Stack is a planned product, expected to be released in November 2008. The Sun Web Stack is the same set of integrated components delivered in an unbundled release for Solaris 10 and some Linux platforms.

We'd like to get as much input as possible to guide our efforts. Toward that end, we're posting here some of our project research and planning so we can share it with others. If you have any comments, please post them here or over on the Web Stack mailing list

Research

We consider developer productivity to be very important, so we've spent some time looking at the Web Stack SAMP Developer Experience to determine what our requirements are as we integrate.

Planning

We've been writing up some proposals on file layout, and it would be good to get comments.
