Wiki Guide

Traditionally, Sun documentation has been located at docs.sun.com in PDF and HTML formats. These documents were often only re-released with new software versions. By migrating documentation to wikis.sun.com (a Confluence wiki from Atlassian), the Sun doc teams will be able to integrate customer comments and requests, as well as collaborate with technical experts, more quickly and easily.

This page provides information about how to use the wiki.

Log In to the Wiki

You must log in to gain access to many features.

1. Click Log In.
   The Log In page is displayed.
2. Enter your Sun Online Account username and password.
   If you do not have a Sun Online Account, click Register Now and follow the instructions.
3. Click Log In.

Print to PDF or Word

You can export a wiki page to PDF or Word formats.

1. Log in to wikis.sun.com.
2. Navigate to the page.
3. Choose Export to PDF or Export to Word from the Tools icon.
4. Choose to display or save the file.

Go to the Home page for printable versions of the entire space.

Add a Comment

You can add a comment to any page.

1. Log in to wikis.sun.com.
2. Navigate to the page.
3. Choose Comment from the Add icon.
   The comment section is displayed.
4. Enter your comment.
5. Click Post.

Subscribe to RSS Feeds

Note: You need an RSS-enabled browser to subscribe to RSS feeds.

1. Navigate to the Sun xVM Ops Center wiki space.
2. Click Browse.
3. Click the Advanced tab.
4. Click RSS Feeds under the Subscribe heading.
5. Choose the RSS feeds you want to subscribe to, for example, Pages.
   The Subscribe window appears.
6. Choose how you want to subscribe to the feed or feeds and click Subscribe Now.
7. Choose the folder in which you want to receive the RSS feeds.

Watch a Space (Email Notifications)

1. Log in to wikis.sun.com.
2. Navigate to the space.
3. Click Browse.
4. Click the Advanced tab.
5. Click Start Watching This Space under the Subscribe heading.

Watch a Page (Email Notifications)

1. Log in to wikis.sun.com.
2. Navigate to the page.
3. Choose Watch from the Tools icon.

View Page Changes (History)

1. Log in to wikis.sun.com.
2. Navigate to the space.
3. Navigate to the page.
4. Choose History from the Tools icon.

Add a Space to Favorites

1. Log in to wikis.sun.com.
2. Navigate to the space.
3. Click Browse.
4. Click the Advanced tab.
5. Click Add Space to Favorites under the Subscribe heading.

Add a Page to Favorites

1. Log in to wikis.sun.com.
2. Navigate to the page.
3. Choose Favorite from the Tools icon.
