Creating News Pages
- To create a News page for your space:
- Navigate to a page in your space
- Click on the Add News button in the menu bar
- You can now create a News page just like any other Wiki page
- You can set the 'posting date' for the News page by clicking on EDIT next to 'Posting Day:' on the bottom of the page (The default 'posting date' is the current date)
Viewing the News
Browsing the News
- To browse through all the News pages of a space:
- Navigate to the space you want to look at
- Click on the Browse Space button in the menu bar
- Click on the News tab (next to 'Bookmarks')
- A list of the most recent News pages will be listed (ordered by the most recent first)
- You can also use the calendar on the right side of the page to view News pages:
- Click on the left and right arrows on the top of the calendar to view News pages in specific months
- You can also click on specific dates on the calendar (if there was News on that specific date)
Using the Blog Posts Macro
- The Blog Posts Macro allows you to display news items within a page.
- Clicking on a title takes you to the news item.
- Parameters:
- default parameter (no name) - specify the number of posts you want to display (default: 15 e.g. - blog-posts:10)
- content - use 'content=excerpts' to display short excerpts of the news or 'content=titles' to display just a list of titles (default: entire - will show the whole news post)
- time - specify how long ago you want news items to be displayed, using 'h' hours and 'd' days (default: no limit - e.g. time=8d)
- labels - display posts that match the specified label(s) (default: none)
- spaces - specify the space you want to show news items from by supplying its space key (default: @all)
- Example:

Editing News Pages
- To edit a News page on your space:
- Navigate to a page in your space
- Click on the Browse Space button in the menu bar
- Click on the News tab (a list of the most recent News pages will be listed)
- Use the calendar on the right-hand side to locate the News pages you wish to edit
- Once you have found the right News page, click on the Edit tab to start editing the News page
- When you're finished, click on Update
 | You cannot change the date of an existing news item. You cannot move a news item to another space. |
Deleting News Pages
- To delete a News page on your space:
- Find the News page you wish to delete by using the process above (Editing News Pages)
- Click on the Edit tab
- Click on the Remove link located at the top of the page (The link will only be displayed if you have permission to remove News items)
- Deleted news items are stored in the trash and can be recovered by a space administrator
