Abstract

Metro is the high-performance, production quality for SOAP-based web services integrated into the GlassFish Application Server, OpenESB, OpenSSO, and other containers. It implements many features such as JCP JAX-WS; WS-I BP 1.1, BSP 1.0; Oasis WS-Security, WS-SecureConversation, WS-Trust, WS-ReliableMessaging, WS-AtomicTransactions. The Metro team and Microsoft have worked together testing Metro to ensure that it interoperates seamlessly with Windows Communication Foundation in .NET 3.5.

This presentation will provide:

  • an overview of Metro features
  • a number of security use cases
  • links to the Metro communities
  • a glimpse of the roadmap for future features
