Instructions for the Audience of TheAquarium Channel

Point your browser to http://www.ustream.tv/channel/theaquarium; you will need a Flash plugin. This will provide you with video (image of presenter + slides + anything else) and audio (unless you want to use the concall # instead). This also gives you a chat.

You are encouraged to ask questions and interact with each other during the session using the chat room. The speaker or other participants will answer your questions if possible. We also have Q&A sections. We encourage, but not require, you to either login into uStream or to acquire a nickname using the "/nick mynickname" command.

You can get audio either from uStream (recommended), or through the conference call (optional). The concall is free inside the US but is caller-paid outside the US. The ustream video and audio streams are synchronized but there is a 3-5 second delay, which is only noticeable to the people in the concall (presenters mostly). If you are using the phone concall, you should mute with *6.

All material (slides, screencasts) is made available ahead of the presentation through the show wiki page. The resolution and size of the uStream screen is limited, so in some cases you may prefer to check that material.

The presentations are recorded, and the chat interaction may also be recorded. The recordings are later made available in different formats.
