Customers can make use of SunSolve by logging in, selecting change contract adding a contract. Then downloading the relevant patch.
The only time SunSolve displays a "you do not have a valid contract" is when the user is attempting to access a Vintage 8 Patch when they do not have a specific Vintage Solaris 8 Patch Contract.

SunSolve downloads are not broken but they just don't work for many of us as several external forums demonstrate. I had to download the patch at home where a timeout of the connection did not seem to be an issue. Try downloading the patch from somewhere else external to your workplace. I am told that Sun is reworking the whole patch cluster issue since the cluster keeps growing and growing.

First, gratz to markweee09 for his distinctly off-topic postings. I particularly like people who ramble on about things they have such a one-sided view of.
Second, I found these wikis via google, not via anything I've seen on the Sun sites. Sad.
Third, feedback to the sunsolve team is difficult when the sunsolve site is down and has been all weekend. Sad.
Fourth, now that cat is out, when can we expect the site to be up again?
Thanks,
Froggie

If you subscribe to twitter, you can add yourself to SunSolve, we posted information about the issues over the weekend.
The SunSolve site had a message up on the page to advise about that there had been planned boundary system outages. It appears a boundary system implemented a change which effected SunSolve. The SunSolve has worked around the clock with different team to find root cause and fix the issue.
