Overview of Changes Coming in the Second half of 2007
Changes in Dec 2007
- No major changes, fixed an issue with Sun System Handbook search results as reported by IE users.
Changes in Nov 2007
- No major changes, added link to Sun Service Tags.
Changes in Oct 2007
- SunSolve is changing its authentication mechanism from the legacy SunSolve-specific authentication functionality to Sun's standard authentication service. While the change should be largely transparent to SunSolve users, some SunSolve customers may notice some slight differences around Login and user account related activities. In particular, SunSolve users will notice that in the Sun support customers (greenish) box on the far right hand side of SunSolve, there are no longer username and password fields, nor are there links to related functions such as: Secure Login, Register, Forgot User Name, Forgot your Password. Instead there is simply a Login link. Clicking on the Login link will now take you to Sun's standard authentication service web page where all user account related functions can be performed.
- Other changes included adding new link for Video Tutorials, as well as addressing a number of bugs previously reported.
Changes in Sept 2007
- No changes
Changes in Aug 2007
- Addressed several higher priority bugs.
Changes in July 2007
*No major changes, addressed problem affecting 2 boundary systems.

Useful Information
**Note: Each customer is assigned a Party Number. The Party Number will then be sent to the contract owner at your organization. They will distribute the number to you. Alternatively, you can contact the Sun Services Support hotline and provide a serial number or contract number and the agent will supply to you your party number which you then use to register on SSMSC. (this party number will *NOT work on SunSolve.) For more information about SSMSC, click here |
