Definition: Search Result Entry

A search result entry is an entry returned as part of a search operation. It will contain at least the DN of the entry, and can contain zero or more attributes. The attributes can contain only attribute type names or both types and values (based on the value of the typesOnly Flag from the search request). The attributes returned can be based on the search attributes from the client request, but can be pared down based on the server's access control configuration.
