What Sun Inventory does for you
Sun Inventory allows you to discover your gear, register it with your Sun Online Account, and organize and manage it.
The discovery mechanism is a Java application that detects Service Tag information. If your gear does not have a Sun Service Tag, you can download one or create one using Open Service Tag.
Once you have discovered your gear, you can organize it by placing it into groups. You can also create teams to allow different users to manage different sets of gear, and create reports on your gear.
Log In
To begin using Sun Inventory, go to inventory.sun.com and log in using your Sun Online Account user name and password. If you don't have an SOA, click Get a Sun Online Account.
Once you are logged in, you can begin discovering, registering, and managing your gear.
