What are the known issues?

  • Sun Inventory works best with Mozilla Firefox 2.0 or higher. Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 users might experience cosmetic defects or usability problems, but all functionality is available.
  • Sun Inventory requires that your browser's Java web start be up to date. Older versions of Java web start will cause an error message to appear when you attempt to run the registration client.
  • CR 6639293 - Deleting teams rapidly might cause an AccountMgmtException error message to display
If you use FireFox 2.0.0.10 and delete several teams at the same time, you might experience an AccountMgmtException error.
Workaround: Refresh your browser after each team that you delete. When you refresh, the list of teams is updated in the user interface.
  • CR 6638029 - Editing multiple gear at the same time causes long processing times and inability to close the window
If you attempt to edit the same field on multiple pieces of gear at the same time, you might experience processing times in excess of 1 minute and you cannot close the Changing Gear Properties window.
Workaround: Perform edits on individual gears instead of multi-gear edits.
