The Administration section explains how to manage teams, members, and gear as well as view news feeds.
Tasks
Manage Teams
Teams are associations of gear and team members. The Teams Tab lets you manage, create, and view teams. The main window displays information about each team, including the total numbers of gear, groups, and team members. The Actions menu includes options for creating new teams, deleting teams, and changing the settings for teams.
Manage Gear
The Gear tab shows all of the gear registered to the selected team. It allows you to create new groups and place gear into groups. The Actions menu includes an option for reports, which can be generated in PDF, XML, or CSV formats. The Gear Tab dropdown menu also includes an option for running the discovery client.
Manage Groups
The Gear tab also lets you create groups for your gear. Groups can be used to organize gear within a team. Using the Gear tab you can create, edit, merge, and delete groups.
Manage Members
The Members tab lets you see what Team Members are associated with the current team. The actions menu includes an option to invite new members to a team.
News
The News tab gives you current information about Sun products and lets you subscribe to relevant RSS feeds.
