Tips
- Login with your Sun Online Account to post/reply to a message or enter restricted forums to which you may have permissions to access.
- Before you post your first message, check out #C2 of the FAQ page. It explains how to post a well-formed message and increase your chances of getting useful responses.
- Receive an email notification of new posts in your favorite forums or messages by clicking the "Watch this forum" link on the forum page or "Watch this topic" on the thread page or respond to a message by clicking "Reply".
Basic forums terminology:
Category: Set of forums based on a general topic. Example: Java Essentials category
Forum: Sections of the site dedicated to a specific topic. Example: New to Java forum
Thread: Set of messages (similar to an email tread). The original post is initiated by a single user, then is followed by a replies from other users. Example: Which PDF library is better?
Message: The original post or reply to the original post.
