Poor spelling and grammar are distracting to your readers, and, in this age of technological wonders, easy enough to avoid. Firefox has a spell checker built right in - turn it on in Tools > Options > General in the Browsing section. It will underline misspelled words (or any word it doesn't recognize) in red on the screen as you type.
However, be on the lookout for those cases when a spellchecker won't save you.
