This is the home page for the Storage System Patterns space. This is a proposed space for sharing patterns for assembling software and systems to fulfill storage requirements with a variety of implementations. In many cases, these patterns may be similar to existing HOWTO, but instead, you are encouraged to add implementations, tweak existing implementations and improve them if changes occur.

Where patterns of implementation already exist, link them off the page! The intent of these patterns is to provide community solutions that are "living" and active for people to contribute to. The formality is somewhere between HOWTOs and full Sun Blueprints.
