Getting Started With OpenSolaris Print Manager

From the Main Menubar on the desktop panel, choose:
System > Administration > Print Manager.

The OpenSolaris Print Manager application starts, and the Print Manager window opens. The Print Manager window contains three panes: queue pane, group pane, job pane. From here, you can create and manage printer queues, printer groups, and print jobs. For detailed information about all of these components, refer to the OpenSolaris Print Manager online help.

Note -
In the OpenSolaris 2010.03 release, because CUPS is the default print service, when you select System > Administration > Print Manager from the GNOME Desktop, the CUPS Print Manager is launched. To use the OpenSolaris Print Manager, you must first install the appropriate packages, then switch the default print service from CUPS to the LP print service.
For more information see the OpenSolaris Print Manager chapter in the System Administration Guide: Solaris Printing.
