This section describes procedures to resolve common network configuration and connectivity issues on an OpenSolarisTM system. Perform all tasks by using a terminal window.
To test your connectivity to the network, use the ping command:
$ ping www.opensolaris.org www.opensolaris.org is alive
If the system reports no connection, use the following procedures to troubleshoot your network connection:
Note - Occasionally, to resolve your network issues, you might need to manually configure your network interfaces. For the procedures, see Manually Configuring Your Network Connection.
