COMSTAR Prerequisites
Verify that your system meets the requirements for a COMSTAR storage array. Requirements might vary between supported protocols and network environments, so check the list that applies to your network carefully.
The first step is to install the SUNWstmf package. After installation, reboot the server so the stmf service will function properly.
Fibre Channel over Ethernet
COMSTAR Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) requires an x86 or SPARC Solaris host running the following:
- Solaris Express Community Edition (SXCE), at least Build 112.

SCSI RDMA Protocol (SRP)
| Work in Progress The COMSTAR SRP Target is still a work in progress. Refer to the opensolaris.org SRP project page for project status. |
