At Sun Microsystems, we are committed to providing an outstanding service experience to our customers. In line with this commitment, we are upgrading our online support services. As part of this upgrade, on October 30, 2009, we will discontinue Sun's Online Support Center. This letter provides you with an overview of the online services available to you following this upgrade.

SunSolve is Sun's online service for service solutions, patches1, and diagnostic and support tools. It also provides contracted customers with access to an extensive knowledge database, online Community Forums1, and premium1 content in the Sun System Handbook. Later this month, a number of new features will be added to SunSolve, including:

A streamlined process to create Service Requests using an e-mail-based form
Improved content viewing and feedback functionality
Product Taxonomy over software and hardware content
The ability to download the latest full release for selected1 products

The SunSpectrumSM Member Support Center (MSC) is Sun's online service for creating and managing Service Requests and searching and viewing Service contracts2 and Install Base assets.

If you are an Online Support Center user, please confirm that your User Account is setup on SunSolve and validate the contracts you are associated with [Learn More]. To ensure uninterrupted access to Sun's online services support, we also recommend that you apply for access to the SunSpectrum Member Support Center [Learn More] prior to October 30, 2009.
