Description:

The Sun Adapter for LDAP enables Java CAPS to exchange data with an LDAP directory on an LDAP server.
The adapter allows for search, compare and modification of an LDAP directory using the LDAP protocol. It has an OTD, which you can use in java collaborations to execute LDAP operations.

Adapter Features:

  • Supports LDAP protocol v3.0
  • Supports the following LDAP servers - Windows 2000 Server Active Directory, Sun Java System Directory Server v6.0 and OpenLDAP v2.1
  • Supports username/password based authentication
  • Supports security via SSL
  • Supports TLS On Demand, wherever supported by the LDAP sever
  • Provides support for LDAP Referrals
  • Provides support for LDAP Persistent Search feature
  • Provides support for LDAP v3.0 Controls and Extensions
  • Support Solaris Zones and Containers

External System Support/Dependencies:

  • TCP/IP network connection
