OpenESBDocumentation

New Location

The home page for the OpenESB wiki documentation revision project has moved:
http://soabi.stc.com:8080/JSPWiki/Wiki.jsp?page=ComponentsDocHome

Scope of Project

While the OpenESB wiki (http://wiki.open-esb.java.net/Wiki.jsp?page=Documentation) is a treasure trove of information, the site is highly unorganized, and there is plenty of documentation that is either outdated or not properly labeled.

Goals

  • To provide consistency and uniformity in where documentation is made available for each component
  • To apply the same template to each documentation set, and to clearly state what release(s) are covered
  • To provide easier access to developer documentation, and to determine what is still relevent and what is not
  • To revise the landing page for each component
  • To provide all the downloadable bits on one easy-to-use page
  • To dispense with SDK documentation in an efficient manner

Timeline

 January 5 - 23.

Assignments

Writers will be assigned to review and revise (where necessary) the documentation for one or more components. Resources from engineering and QE will be responsible with revising developer documentation and to review tech doc documentation (where necessary).
