GlassFish Application Server v2.1 Christopher Ravel Packaging To support distributions that depend on GlassFish v2.1, an initial set of pkg(5) format packages representing the core of v2.1 have been made available in the Sun Layered Packages, Developer Quality Repository. The GlassFish Web Space Server 10.0 release includes these GlassFish v2.1 packages.
Web Space Server Joe Di Pol Distro Delivery In early February 2009 the commercial release of Web Space Server was made available in pkg(5) format. Since that time, the Web Space team has made available at least five update releases through their support package repository.

Message Queue Joe Di Pol Distro Delivery The MQ project delivered its first pkg(5) packages in the form of MQ 4.3 in January 2008. These product quality packages are integrated with the GlassFish v2.1 packages that are part of the Web Space Server 10 distribution.

The GlassFish v3 Preview release includes an early form of the MQ 4.4 pkg(5) packages.

The MQ team is planning to offer a full pkg(5)-based distribution of MQ 4.4, their next feature release later in CY 2009.

The latest development quality the MQ packages are available in the Sun Layered Packages, Developer Quality Repository

Experimentation Up through Feb 2009, the UC2 project evolved an Experimental OpenDS Build Integration that was shared with the OpenDS project team. The OpenDS project team is using this experiment as the basis for its formal build integration.

In preparation for their CY09 release of OpenDS SE 2.0, the OpenDS project is assessing the viability of delivering in pkg(5) format.
GlassFish ESB Joe Di Pol Experimentation Preliminary view is that the GlassFish ESB 3 early access release would be the first release to use pkg(5).

The Open ESB team has done some preliminary hands-on investigation with pkg(5).
OpenSSO Chris Kampmeier and Rajkumar Srinivasan Experimentation Goal is to provide OpenSSO team with an experimental integration of pkg(5) with OpenSSO Enterprise 8.0 such that it can be made available for evaluation by the OpenSSO community in advance of integration of a production quality use of pkg(5) as part of the next feature release of OpenSSO 8 in CY2010.

UC2 project team demonstrated pkg(5) capabilities to OpenSSO engineering and marketing in Feb 2009.
