Final Alert Update: SD Campus News, 10/30 We are back to normal operations today and from now on. We will only be following the energy curtailment criteria based on our previous agreement with SDG&E. THANKS to all of you for your support during this trying time. We are back and stronger than ever. Your SD Site Council Alert Update: SD Campus Weekend & Monday News, 10/27-29 SDG&E is still requesting that we minimize energy consumption at our Sun facility based on where it is located on the power grid. Therefore, we will be following the energy curtailment criteria through the weekend, 10/27-28. Facilities is checking regularly with SDG&E; once the energy constraints are lifted, we will do the same. We also are continuing to monitor air quality to ensure a safe work environment for our employees. New air filters will be installed on Monday. Therefore, our San Diego campus will be back ONLINE on Monday, 10/29! Any employees who are still being forced to evacuate from their homes should inform their managers; Sun offers emergency-relocation assistance to affected employees. Thanks for your support, Alert Update: SD Campus Employees MAY WFH Tomorrow, 10/26 A big THANKS goes to Sun's Corporate Crisis Management team and Executive Leadership in providing top-notch employee support during this firestorm! Based on the shutdown of the San Onofre power plant, SDG&E is requesting that we minimize energy consumption at our Sun facility based on where it is located on the power grid. Therefore, we will be following the energy curtailment criteria tomorrow, Friday, 10/26. We also are continuing to monitor air quality to ensure a safe work environment for our employees. Therefore, employees in the San Diego area MAY stay and work from home tomorrow, 10/26, check in with their managers and attend to their friends, families and homes. Any employees who are forced to evacuate from their homes should inform their managers; Sun offers emergency-relocation assistance to affected employees. Sun's San Diego campus and its compute-resources lab are functioning. However, their status may change depending on the unpredictable nature of the wildfires.
